Pablo emerged as the shining star in Athletico Paranaense’s debut in the state championship. On Saturday (14), the Furacão traveled to face Rio Branco-PR and secured a 3-0 victory, with all three goals coming from their number 92. With this result, the team now sits at three points in the standings.

Rio Branco-PR started the game with dominance, pressing as the home team. They even hit the crossbar with a free kick from Jobson just three minutes into the game.

Gradually, Athletico took control of the match and came close to scoring. Terans took a shot, the goalkeeper parried it, and Renato cleared it almost off the line. At 21 minutes, Pablo received the ball in the box and calmly slotted it past the goalkeeper, opening the scoring for the red and black team.

The Leão tried to attack again with Jobson’s shot, but Athletico quickly extended their lead to 3-0. At 44 minutes, Pablo capitalized on a rebound from a free kick, initially missing his shot but then finding the back of the net. Shortly after, at 48 minutes, he scored his third goal, sliding in to convert a cross.

In the second half, just 8 minutes in, after a right-wing cross was cleared by the defense, Pablo controlled the ball at the edge of the box and set up Fernandinho, who struck a powerful shot to make it 4-0.

Later on, Terans stylishly took a free kick, but Lucas Macanhan made a great fingertip save. Managing the lead, Furacão still had a few opportunities but ended the match with a comfortable 4-0 victory.

In the next round, Athletico Paranaense will once again travel for an away fixture, this time against Aruko, on Wednesday (18), with kickoff at 7:15 PM (Brasília time).
